A before/after of my latest edit – a young woman with striking blue hair and an orange knitted beret.

This edit was a rather frustrating retouch – the skin was pretty difficult to tackle. I learnt a whole heap along the way though, and overall I’m pretty pleased with the result.

I ultimately could have used a better source image – the model’s pose, particularly around her hand on her shoulder is a bit iffy – however it really was her hair and her hat that caught my eye.

This image took a long time to complete, I worked on it on and off over the course of nearly a month. I would have done more over the Christmas break, but I got offered a restoration job (currently in the works), combined with heading back to work a week earlier than originally expected.
